Uwe Kaa of Roots Rockers

A new release is coming out of Munich town. Uwe Kaa, lead-singer of the Roots Rockers (who are well known not at least starring at YumYum playing excellent roots orientated sets), releases his solo-debut album “Endlich Single” on October 31st. The album features fresh reggae vibes, good german lyrics (rare enough) and vocals from Uwe and productions from London´s Jstar, Vienna´s Irievibrations Crew, Munich´s Oneness Band, Uwe´s long time music-partner Andybee and the Scrucialists from Switzerland. Last but not least I did a remix for him a year ago, a remix of his big hit “Dancehall Story”, giving the tune a dancefloor/ treatment. You can check a promo mix of the album here including an exclusive free tune feat. Dennis Alcapone. Buy the album at amazon or visit Uwe´s page

Good luck on all your efforts. I just firmly believe the days of music sales (physical or digital) are over and the artists have to live by the money they earn playing live – dj or band – it doesn’t matter. But at the end of the day it is music and you want to have as many people as possible listening, dancing to or chanting your tunes. The only use a record label has these days is to make an artist “official” but even that is changing. But there was never any need to make Uwe official, he should be out there pleasing the world with his uplifting vibes and kind persona. Good luck and i smell a transition occurring brother.
